David Wearden’s Sold to Experienced Group of Blackpool Butchers

This veteran butcher shop in Fleetwood, Lancashire has been sold by Kings Business.

Established in 1972, this veteran business has been under the current ownership of David Wearden for the last 25 years. Since it’s establishment, the business has earned an exceptional reputation in this popular coastal town for offering the finest quality of cold meats and a wide variety of additional food supplements.

The business has a significant heritage in the local area, operating in the area for 48 years. This has allowed the business to gradually build up a strong trading presence in the area, becoming a community cornerstone business. Having benefitted from David’s experienced direction for 25 years, the business has garnered a considerable amount of success. David Wearden’s caters to a large number of clients, attracting new customers, but also retaining its loyal and returning customers.

Over the years, the vendor has invested a great deal of time and money in renovating the business, maintaining it to a high standard, both internally and externally. As time went on, this business evolved to keep up with the changing town, however it always retained its historic character and charm. The business’ philosophy of providing only the highest quality of produce was never lost.

David made the decision to sell his business, realising that now was the perfect time for him to retire. He commissioned Kings Business to handle the sale of the butcher’s shop. Once placed onto the market, the business was promptly acquired by Oliver Wilson, Henry Wilson and Nigel Wilkinson.

This group of experienced butchers are well-established in the Blackpool area, and they saw this shop as the perfect first joint venture as business partners. The location and renowned reputation of the shop were major influencing factors in the purchase. They intend to continue running the business to an exceptionally high standard.

 The vendor, David Wearden, commented;

“I was delighted with the sale I made through Kings Business. Adam Dell’Armi was the negotiator dealing with the transaction and he kept in touch with me on a regular basis.  He showed professionalism, empathy and understanding to assure me until completion. I would 100% recommend his services and those of Kings Business.”

The buyers commented;

“I was delighted to conclude our purchase of Wearden’s Butchers, we are excited to continue serving the people of Fleetwood to the standard they have become accustomed to. Special thanks to Adam Dell’Armi who was the negotiator dealing with our purchase. He was professional and helpful throughout and was easy to talk to, making himself readily available. His determination to conclude the deal was an asset, and it created a smooth process. I would certainly recommend him and the services of Kings Business.”

Lead negotiator Adam Dell’Armi commented;

“I was delighted to conclude the deal for Wearden’s Butchers, especially with it being a business well known to me locally.  I wish Mr Wearden the very best in his retirement and the best of luck to the new owners who are excited for their future. I look forward to popping in for some steaks.”
